      Tantalum

Tantalum is used to make electronic capacitors and vacuum furnace parts. The metal is widely used to fabricate chemical process equipment, nuclear reactors, heat exchangers, aircraft and missile parts. Tantalum is completely immune to body liquids and is a nonirritating metal. It has, therefore, found wide use in making surgical appliances. Tantalum oxide is used to make special glass with a high index of refraction for camera lenses.

Our Tantalum product line consists of:

      Tantalum Oxide

Vacuum Grade Tantalum Pins and Solids

      Nickel Tantalum

      Tantalum Anodes

      Tantalum Hydride

      Tantalum Tungsten (97/3)

      Toll Conversion Services

Hi-Temp manufactures many forms of Tantalum. We remove anodes from capacitors and pins from stainless steel and aluminum strips.

      Molybdenum

Molybdenum is used in the vacuum melting and super alloys industries. The alloy withstands high temperatures and corrosion and is very strong, making it useful for structural work, chemical and process engineering, powder generation, heat treatment, pollution control equipment, aircraft parts, and forged automobile parts. Molybdenum wire is used in electron tubes, and the metal also serves as electrodes in arc furnaces.

Our Molybdenum product line consists of:

Vacuum Grade Molybdenum Solids in many shapes and forms

Air Melt Grade Molybdenum Solids and Turnings in many shapes and forms

      Tungsten

The principal uses of tungsten are as filaments in incandescent lamps, as wires in electric furnaces, and in the production of hard, tenacious alloys of steel. It is used also in the manufacture of spark plugs, electrical contact points, and cutting tools, and as a target in X-ray tubes.

Our Tungsten product line consists of:

Vacuum Grade Tungsten Solids in many shapes and forms.

Air Melt Grade Tungsten Solids and Turnings in many shapes and sizes
